We are only who we are asleep in out dreams. Every other context is a compromise, and the names we learn from one day to the next distinguish only illusions. When I presume to know myself, the future disappears in contradiction. If you and I knew what belongs here, and what does not, then there would be nothing that compels us to read any more of it. Between one person and everyone else, there are only reasons and numbers. When you pursue your own interests as far as they take you, no one else will understand you. When you have nothing left to say for yourself, perhaps someone else will speak through you.
